The season finale of this year’s "Dancing with the Stars" saw Kirstie Alley do her dance routine in a dress much smaller than the one she wore at the start of the show. Alley decided to repeat her opening-night dance and her original dress for the final. However, since the actress has lost a lot of weight during the show her costume had to be taken in by 38 inches!
On the show, Alley wowed the audience with her dancing skills and lost quite a bit of weight in the process. Even though the 60-year-old actress admitted that she has lost weight during her two and a half months on the show, she did not reveal how many pounds she’d actually shed. Of course, the dramatic weight loss was out there for everyone to see.
When asked about her weight loss, Alley confessed that she was happy with her weight and likes being skinny. However, it has not been easy for the actress. Over the years, Alley’s weight has consistently fluctuated. She once appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show and showed off her considerably smaller figure in a bikini; however, before long, she had gained over 200 lbs.
As of now; things seem to be looking up for Alley. Since her debut on the dance show, her costumes have gotten considerably smaller and sexier. According to Randall Christensen, one of the designers on the show, Alley’s costumes had to be constantly altered as she continued to lose weight. Alley even wore a body-hugging cat-suit during a freestyle dance routine.
